Ficocella Beach

Right below the town of Palinuro is a piece of paradise with golden sand and rocky reefs. The beach part is staked out with umbrellas and sun beds (at a price) while the reefs are open and free. The rocky parts create little natural pools that are fun for the kids to splash in, and the water here gradually deepens. The bay is protected from waves and winds. The water is crystalline and beautiful. It is easy to find, a staircase from town leads down to the bay.
