Ciglio, named for an ancient farmhouse once located halfway up the hill, is a small beach inserted at the bottom of a tiny creek overlooked by thick lemon groves. The groves hold the whole semi-circular rocky wall that delimits the beach. The small bay is well sheltered from the western breeze, making it even more appealing on windy days. Unfortunately this delightful beach is entirely surrounded by perpendicular rocks, so it "loses" the sun quite soon. But if it's swimming instead of sunbathing you're after, then it might be the place for you, especially since it is never crowded. You can reach Ciglio Beach only by sea, using rowing boats or pedalos.
