The church of Santa Lucia in Montepulciano is a Baroque charmer consecrated in 1653. Designed by architect Flaminio del Turco, the facade is lightly done in classic lines rather than flamboyant Baroque. Inside, there is a single nave but the chapel is tastefully decorated with masterpieces by Luca Signorelli (Madonna Enthroned with Baby Jesus), a painting by Giovan Battista Alessi, and another by Gaetano Perpignani. There are other lovely decorations to admire, and the overall effect of the church is charming.
