The church of San Luca Evangelista is dedicated to St Luke, the patron saint of Praiano. It is located in the heart of the village, and the building as we can see it now dates back to the year 1588. The original church was definitely older, as it is mentioned in documents of the years 1123 and 1202.

Worth noting is the majolica floor, which is standing the test of time since 1789.  The church holds precious artworks: the marble balustrade and the marble altars, paintings of Lama and Montorio of 1500 and 1600, and paintings of Gigante (1831), as well as several statues. Among these it is remarkable the silver bust of Saint Luke (1696).

The church of St Luca is also famous for its majolica dome, decorated according to the most typical local tradition.
