The Casino dell'Aurora Pallavicini is a charming early Baroque residence on the Quirinale Hill. Commissioned by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in order to be close to the Quirinale, which served as the Papal Palace at the time, the lovely little palace is lush with beautiful decorative features. It bears famous ceiling frescoes by Guido Reni depicting the allegory of Aurora. There are also works by Luca Giordano, antique statuary, beautiful decorative friezes, and ironwork to admire, as well. Slabs from ancient Roman sarcophoghi can be seen embedded into some of the walls for decorative effect.

The Galleria Pallavicini housed in the neighboring Palazzo Pallavicini Rospigliosi contains important paintings by top artists, as well.

The Casino is the venue for occasional events, concerts and galas. The Baroque gem is only open to visitors on the first day of each month.
