Cala Mariolu

Widely considered to be one of Sardinia's prettiest beaches, this cove offers beautiful scenery and super-clear water but is reachable only by boat. You'll need to rent a gommone or boat to get here, but that means less crowds and more bliss. There are rocks peeking out of the water, and the mountain comes down to the shore, making it look like a movie set. There is Mediterranean macchia plants, and it's the ideal place for snorkelers.

The beach is a cove with course white sand and cream-colored pebbles. The water is brilliant blue and the beach is uncluttered (bring your own umbrella and lunch but be sure to take away your wrappers and bottles!) There is a restroom, but no other services.
