Bruschetteria Albori

Just a few minutes from the centre of Vietri sul Mare, in Albori, you'll find the lovely Bruschetteria Albori, run by Mr Peppe for over 25 years. Albori is named among "the most beautiful villages in Italy".

This is a sort of "institution" for all locals who do not miss a special bruschetta at least twice a year. Here, a bruschetta is a sandwich formed by two big slices of "panella" (traditional kind of bread made in Campania, round shaped and cooked into wood-burning oven, of 1 mt diameter) roasted on hot coals and filled in different ways, but strictly using genuine local products.

Try Bruschetta Caprese or, if you fancy spicy food, Bruschetta alla Bestemmia, filled with hot soppressata :-)
