Braceria Basilico Restaurant

A lively place with a good selection on the menu that offers something for everyone. It is called a "braceria", indicating their specialty is grilled meats, but they offer some nice vegetarian options, as well.

There is a sampling of salami and cheese from around Italy, fresh-made pastas dressed with porcini mushrooms, ravioli stuffed with broccoli and sausage, or spaghetti with eggplant, as a few examples. They offer a rare type of pizza that hails from Sicily called "pizzolo", a type of foccaccia made with hard durum wheat. But it's the skill of the grill that draws people. Choose from angus filet, rustic local sausage or one of the types of tagliata (a cut of beef that is grilled then sliced and topped with a choice of adornments).

To compliment the meal, there is an impressive wine list. Warm tones create a welcoming setting in the dining room.
