Rome's zoo is located in the historic Villa Borghese gardens. Here in this green expanse right in the city you'll find the surprisingly nice zoo with a wide variety of animals, exhibits, theatrical shows and a botanical garden to enjoy. There is also a kids' play area with swings and slides. Picnic areas, snack bars and a sit-down restaurant are available, too.

If you go on weekends you can participate in the feeding of the animals with park staff. There is a train called the BioParco Express that traverses the park. It's a fun place for kids and adults alike.

The BioParco is open every day except Christmas.
