Alpyland Amusement Park

A year-round amusement park on Mount Mottarone between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta, Alpyland offers fun for every age. The breathtaking views are worth the trip, sweeping across the lakes and mountains for miles. But the thrill of speeding down the hill like a bobsledder makes it a real attraction. In the summer it is a roller coaster, with speed controlled by the rider. In the winter, it is a 2-man bobsled run, with the brakes in the hands of the rear passenger (so you can ride with your child in front of you). The track descends for 1.2 kilometers, with a few twists thrown in for fun.

Alpyland is open year round. Summer hours are 10:00 AM til 6:00 PM while winter hours are 10:00 AM til 5:00 PM on weekends only. It is closed the month of November. From the Lake Maggiore side, Alpyland can be reached by the cable car from Stresa. From the Lake Orta side, drive up the SS 229 road.
