Agropoli Lungomare

A kilometer-long length of beach that starts at the bottom of the old town and leads out to the superstrada highway ramp, with plenty of sandy beach along the way. The lungomare has a sidewalk all the way along it, with frequent steps down to the beach itself, and is easily accessible. There are a few "lido" establishments where you can pay for an umbrella and lounge chairs, along with lots of free and open space where you can just plop where you want on the sand and enjoy the water. The sea is clear and shallow in this section, gradually deepening. There are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants along the street and some beach bars, too, that will satisfy your hunger and thirst or provide you with a creamy cooling gelato.
